1 day National Conference on Recent Advances in Mathematical Sciences 2018

Event Description

The DST- Centre for Interdisciplinary Mathematical Sciences (CIMS) is organizing its first “One-day National Conference on Recent Advances in Mathematical Sciences” on April 22, 2018. The deliberations will be held in DST-CIMS building from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. All interested participants are expected to download the Registration Form from BHU website and submit the completed form in DST-CIMS office on or before April 18, 2018. We are expecting a few invited talks followed by paper presentations covering almost all the areas of mathematical sciences. However, emphasis will be given on recent advances covering both theoretical and applied aspects.
About the Conference:
In the last two to three decades, there has been a revolutionary development in interdisciplinary researches covering different aspects of mathematical sciences. The proposed event is aimed to provide a common platform where young researchers and academicians may interact with the experts coming from different fields and simultaneously visualize the scope of promoting interdisciplinary researches in order to expand the realms of researches going on at DST-CIMS. It is expected that such a conference will help researchers from other fields to explore the possibilities of opening new areas of researches of interdisciplinary nature.
The proposed event is expected to bring academicians, scientists, researchers and scholars together to exchange and share their expertise and recent research results on all aspects of mathematical sciences. Some of the broad classifications of areas where particular emphasis will be given include

Analysis (Real, Complex, Functional)

Computational Fluid Dynamics

Differential Equations

Fuzzy Set Theory and its Applications

Graph Theory

Interval Analysis

Mathematical Biology

Mathematical and Stochastic Modeling

Mathematical Physics

Nonlinear Analysis and Dynamical system

Numerical Analysis

Operations Research & Optimization Techniques

Statistical Inference and Bayesian Techniques

Statistical reliability and survival analysis

Sampling Theory

Signal and Image Processing

Wavelet Analysis and its Applications, etc.
Submission of Abstracts:
Authors are invited to submit the abstracts of their presentations of not more than one side of A4 indicating the theme, main findings and applicability (if any). The abstract should also clearly state the title of the paper and the name(s) of the author(s) with full mailing address including the e-mail. The organizers are expecting the submission of abstracts on e-mail to dstcimsconf@gmail.com
Best Paper Presentation Award:
There will be two awards for the best paper presentations in each of the three areas, that is, Statistics, Mathematics and Computer Science. A certificate and a cash prize will be awarded in each category to a young scholar preferably below the age of 28 years.
The best paper will be decided by a panel of two to three Judges. The panel may recommend no award in a category if none of the papers is found up to the mark (to be decided by the Judges).
Important Dates:
Deadline for Abstract submission: 18.04.2018
Acceptance notification by e-mail: 19.04.2018
Registration Details:
A nominal Registration fee of Rs. 300/- is expected from participants. The Registration fee includes the conference kit, working lunch and tea during the session breaks. No accommodation and T.A./D.A. will be provided to external participants. They are required to manage the same on their own.
