Event Description
  • Each team can have a maximum of 5 participants.

  • A team may consist of students from different colleges.

  • Certificates of Excellence will be awarded to the top three teams.

  • Bots should not be disassembled until the results are declared.

  • When a team is called for a match, they must report within five minutes.

  • The arena shown is just for reference. It may be different from what is shown here, but the tasks will remain the same.

  • The organizers reserve the right to change the rules as they deem fit.

  • Judges decision will be the final decision.

  • Change in rules, if any, will be highlighted on the website and notified to the registered teams on prior notice.

The event would be conducted in three rounds:-

  • National Qualifiers
  • National Finals
  • International Finals

This Competition also has a Zonal Component. Winners from the zonal round(Technocruise) shall be given direct entry into National Finals.

What was magic yesterday is called technology today! Humans now not only think for themselves but make machines ‘think’ as well. This event is all about an autonomous bot built from scratch by participants, judged on its ability to perform usual tasks. It tests the level of precision in the end to end designing and fabrication of the bot, and intelligent use of sensors and coding. This is one of the flagship events of Techkriti, witnessing a large participation from across the country and also around the globe. It saw the footfall of 150 people (40+ teams) in the final round last year.

**Additional Incentive: Top teams will be given free-internship opportunity in robotic companies in association with AICRA.

  • You shall place your bot at point A in any direction, in order to perform line following.
  • After reaching the point B by line following it then has to travel to another point C by following a path, bounded by a continuous wall on one side and a line running parallel to the wall on the other side at a distance of 400mm, by the principles of the wall following. In case the bot crosses the line, human intervention would be allowed and points would be cut for the same.
  • After reaching point C, the bot has to follow a continuous wall again, according to the same rules as mentioned above, but this time, the wall will be in the opposite direction as that of the previous one. It would then reach point D.
  • After reaching D it must again traverse on black lines.
  • At each intersection IA, the bot has to detect the color of the block placed in front and has to turn as described below to reach point IB:
    • Blue Block: The bot has to turn left at intersection IA.
    • Red Block: The bot has to turn right at intersection IA.
  • Following the above directions, the bot would reach the Finish area. There it has to show the number of boxes encountered on an LCD display, as well as has to blink a LED which will mark the end of the game.

  • The dimension of blocks, as well as the number of IA-IB intersections after point D, will be disclosed on-site.

The sequence of colors of blocks will be chosen at random during the event.

  • You can start the bot at the beginning of the trial and no human intervention is allowed thereafter. If human intervention is necessary, the ongoing trial will come to an end. Teams may go for another trial if they have sufficient time left.
  • During wall following, a line would be drawn at a distance of 400 mm from the wall. The bot must not cross this line at any cost. In case the bot crosses the line, human intervention would be allowed and points would be deducted for the same.
  • The judges can ask for an explanation for any mechanism of the bot and there would be an immediate disqualification of defaulters.
