International Conference on Agile Manufacturing
The theme of this International Conference on Agile Manufacturing draws its inspiration from the vision of Indian Prime Minister of “Make in India” and “Digital India”. The agility in manufacturing is mostly because of application of digital technology that is further augmented with the increased uses of internet. Internet of Things (IOT) is affecting every sphere of life and especially manufacturing systems. Companies are increasingly using sensors connected through network for not only measuring and controlling the product performance during use but also during all the stages of manufacturing. The IOT works on lot of data i.e. Big Data. This huge data is used for creating a system that is more effective and efficient to respond the market demand. Capturing of such data is supported by agile software that are expected to be capable of responding quickly. Analysing big data in a short time to provide information for decision making is extremely important for an agile manufacturing system. With such an ingredient, the manufacturing systems are likely to become smarter. In this light, the focus of the conference has been chosen to be on “Agile Software, Big data and Manufacturing systems”. Besides theme topic, it is also planned to have presentations and papers that are on agility aspects of any manufacturing system or processes.
This conference will provide a platform to have discussions on agile methods to the Design, Manufacturing and other Business Processes.
ICAM-2017 will be held at Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi, INDIA, during December 15-16, 2017. Each session of ICAM-17 will have a plenary session to be addressed by eminent persons and researchers.
